Epsom Go Tournament

The seventh Epsom Go Tournament will be held on Saturday, 19th July 2008 in The Ebbisham Centre, Epsom, Surrey.
This will be a three round, even game competition. The time limits will be 60 minutes for each player (sudden death – no overtime). There will also be 13 x 13 and 9 x 9 side tournaments. Generous prizes will be provided by our sponsors.

The entry fee includes refreshments. There is also a coffee shop in the Ebbisham Centre and there are plenty of restaurants, pubs and sandwich shops in Epsom High Street. Please contact Yvonne Margetts if you require information about local B&Bs or hotels.

By car (see http://www.theebbishamcentre.org.uk/maps/map.html) - Exit the M25 at Junction 9. Follow the signs for “Dorking A243 (A24)” (also marked as “London S.”) until you get to the A24 roundabout. Turn left at the roundabout, following the signs for “Epsom A24” (also marked as “C. London” and “Sutton”). Follow the A24 straight though Ashtead village to Epsom. To get to the Hook Road Car Park, go down South Street, turn right into the High Street. Go all the way down the High Street (past Boots and McDonalds on your left), fork left at the traffic lights and go under the railway bridge. At the next traffic lights turn left off the A24 into Hook Road. Turn right at the mini-roundabout to enter the Hook Road pay and display car park. By Train - Direct trains from London Waterloo (35 min), London Bridge (50 min.) and London Victoria (50 min) to Epsom (not Epsom Downs). Please check http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ for the timetable. The tournament is about 3 minutes walk from Epsom Railway Station. Once outside the station, cross Station Approach, turn left and walk down to Waterloo Road. Cross Waterloo Road; you will see a Thai Restaurant (“Mae Ping”) and a Nando’s Restaurant in front of you. The alley way next to Nando’s restaurant will lead you to the Derby Square. The Ebbisham Centre will be on your left.
